Transport & Infrastructure Group

Helping Suffolk secure the investment needed to drive economic growth

About the Group

Focused on optimising Suffolk's role as an international gateway and economic hub, the Suffolk Chamber's Transport & Infrastructure Group (TIG) brings together transport and business professionals from across the county alongside local authorities and other key stakeholders such as National Highways, Network Rail and the Department for Transport.

Open to Chamber members, the group meets twice per year to discuss key issues relation the road, rail, utilities and ports, and supports the delivery of the Chamber's Infrastructure policy objectives.

Our Focus

The TIG is dedicated to a number of growth-driven priorities:

  • Improving road, rail and port connectivity to support local and national economic growth

  • Addressing congestion and resilience challenges, including around the Orwell Bridge and A14

  • Supporting the rollout of next-generation digital and utilities infrastructure

  • Influencing local, regional and national transport and infrastructure policy
