People and Skills Group

Helping Suffolk businesses unlock the full potential of their people

About the Group

Launched in June 2021, the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce’s People & Skills Group (PSG) reflects the importance of people in driving Suffolk’s long‑term prosperity.

Open to Chamber members, the group brings together businesses, public sector organisations, all of the county’s FE colleges and the University of Suffolk. Together, we explore best practice and support the delivery of the Chamber’s "People" policy objectives.

Our Focus

The PSG is dedicated to four productivity‑driven priorities:

  • Helping young people move smoothly from education into work

  • Developing skills and career growth for existing employees

  • Improving physical and mental health and wellbeing in the workplace

  • Maximising local skills benefits from major infrastructure projects in Suffolk
