International Trade Group
Suffolk Chamber recognises the wealth of knowledge and experience that exists in the county and how valuable peer-to-peer networking can be to our members. Suffolk Chamber International Trade Group act as a catalyst for international trade activities of new and existing importers and exporters. International trading businesses get real value from peer-to-peer networking. SCITG will be the forum for sharing best practice, for hearing from local and national policymakers and thought leaders. As well as to encourage, promote and participate in local, regional and national initiatives that will enhance the knowledge and capabilities to develop members own international trade activities.
SCITG -12th October 2023 - Muntons, Stowmarket
Suffolk Chamber International Trade Group (SCITG) was hosted by Muntons Plc at their Stowmarket HQ.
Muntons supply world-class malts and malted ingredients across the globe and are famously known for supplying malt to make Malteses.
We had the pleasure of a tour of Muntons production processes, followed by a round table discussion on international trade challenges, CDS and sustainability.

SCITG - 21st February 2023
Our first Suffolk Chamber International Trade Group (SCITG) for this year (2023) was held on the 21st Feb, chaired by Trevor Scott (managing director of Simarco International).
Our key note speaker Steve Beel (Chief Executive of Freeport East) shared insights to Freeport East and the opportunities it can bring to Suffolk businesses.

SCITG - 1st November 2022
Suffolk Chamber re-launched its Suffolk Chamber International Trade Group (SCITG) on the 1st November 2022.
Our keynote speaker Alan Pain (Head of Trade & Investment - East of England - Department of International Trade) detailed Government priorities going forward and the support available for exporters, in an engaging and active session with lots of Q&A’s.
Thank you to David Redhead for chairing the SCITG for so many years, we wish him the very best on his retirement.
