Corbel triumphs at award ceremony alongside European giants!
The IT Europa Excellence Awards recognise and reward excellence in European software development and IT and Telecoms solutions provision. This was a record year with over 500 projects entering from across Europe and Corbel are completely thrilled to be announced as winners for the Innovating Managed Service Solution.
From a 14-year-old boy on work experience cleaning keyboards and changing firmware on old green screen terminals to standing on the winner’s stage alongside the technology titans of Microsoft and Dell it has been a monumental journey for Corbels CEO Paul Lough. “We are absolutely delighted to have been given the award for Innovating Managed Service Solution. Innovation has always been a key element to our business and we are continuously looking proactively at ways to optimise how our customer’s IT works for them. My passion for technology stems from a young age and, through our commitment to research and development, we are at the forefront in this everchanging industry. We’re moving away from the world of dusty old in-house architecture, to a world where IT empowers our customers, not hinders their progress and growth. Corbel opens up a new way forward, with easier collaboration, flexible working, and the peace of mind that comes with dedicated protection from modern-day cyber threats. It is an honour to have been recognised for the work we are doing on a European platform, especially alongside so many credible competitors that I have long admired, we are so proud of our team and all their continued hard work”
Entries to the awards were received from companies of all types and sizes with a geographical spread from Russia, Belarus and Turkey to the Nordics and Ireland “This was a record year – both in the quality and number of entries,” says John Garratt, Editor of IT Europa and head of the judges’ panel. “It was particularly interesting to see the numbers really tick up in the innovation categories. There is a lot of new thinking being done as to how technology can make a real difference, and it is happening right across Europe. The awards aim to support all those IT businesses that have made a real difference to their customers, be they the largest global player or the smaller regional firms like Corbel, and this result shows that good work doesn’t depend on size just commitment”
And it is that commitment that Corbel prides itself on. “Every single one of the 17 people at Corbel have been involved and are living the mission of our company to provide cloud and disaster recovery solutions at affordable monthly prices with a seamless experience” says Karen Rogers, Corbels Managing Director. “The reward is in seeing it make a real difference to our client’s businesses. We are a local Suffolk company and being shortlisted for a European award, let alone winning it, is an amazing accolade for the whole Corbel team, and shows the wider community that Suffolk is a place where innovative IT is driving business forward.”
