DanceEast opens search for new Chair

DanceEast is looking for a new Chair to lead the organisation into its next chapter, offering a rare opportunity to take on a key leadership role at one of the UK’s leading dance organisations.

Established in 1983, DanceEast is based in Ipswich and rooted in the East of England, with an impact that reaches far beyond the region. Now one of five UK DanceHouses and the only one in East Anglia, the organisation works with more than 65,000 people each year through dance activity designed to inspire, connect and improve wellbeing.

Working closely with Chief Executive & Creative Director Anthony Missen and the Board of Trustees, the successful candidate will help shape DanceEast’s direction for the next decade and beyond. The organisation is seeking someone who is passionate about arts and culture, brings strong leadership, listens well, and is committed to effective, forward-thinking governance.

At a pivotal point in its journey, DanceEast is looking for someone who can help ensure it remains ambitious, agile and sustainable for the future.
