Sizewell C and Suffolk Chamber Bring Together Regional Organisations at Suffolk Show
Great to host the 2026 Suffolk Show Drinks and Canapés event in collaboration with Sizewell C. This annual event once again brought together a breadth of key organisations from across the region in the heart of the Suffolk Show
The event opened with remarks from Suffolk Chamber of Commerce President, Catherine Johnson, who reflected on the determination and ambition demonstrated by the county’s business community. She highlighted how events such as the Suffolk Show provide an important opportunity to celebrate these achievements. Catherine also spoke about the Chamber’s role in working closely with partners across education and industry to help address workforce challenges, support the next generation of talent, and provide practical support to Chamber members and the wider business community through training, international trade, supply chain engagement, as well as opportunities to connect and collaborate
Nigel Cann, CEO of Sizewell C, then took to the podium to celebrate the collaborative efforts of those in attendance, as well as the partnership with the Suffolk Chamber, emphasising the importance of supply chain delivery. He noted that more than 1,000 UK suppliers have now benefitted from work on the nuclear power project, while Sizewell C’s investment in Suffolk has now reached £1 billion. Nigel also discussed the progress of the project, highlighting key developments, including the Yoxford and Friday Street roundabouts. He reinforced Sizewell C’s commitment to making a positive impact on the local economy and environment, ensuring the project’s benefits are felt widely across the region
The evening was a testament to the strong partnerships and shared ambitions that continue to drive the success of both Sizewell C and Suffolk Chamber of Commerce
