Last chance for free support!

Groundwork Suffolk has provided a free Environmental Business Advisor service to eligible SMEs in Suffolk since 2008, supporting over 1,000 businesses and identifying opportunities that would equate to energy savings of over £2.4m. The current service is coming to a close this January and there are only a few on-site and distance support slots remaining.

We work to identify the key actions that would result in the most significant cost and carbon savings. We evaluate the value of ensuring correct control of lighting, heating and other appliances, investing in new equipment, improving the building fabric and installing renewable energy systems and summarise those that offer the shortest payback periods in a short report following the on-site review. Should you already have a project in mind and would appreciate some help or validation for example, then we can do this over the phone or by email.

Give us a call on 01473 350370 or email suffolkbusinessadvisor@groundwork.org.uk for support this January.

Groundwork Suffolk is an award winning environmental charity that primarily works to lower the environmental impact and running costs of businesses in Suffolk by increasing their energy and resource efficiency.

Since 2008, we have been delivering an Environmental Business Adviser Service on behalf of Suffolk County Council and the 'Climate Change Partnership' which is a support service for businesses in the county that have fewer than 50 employees. This funded service offers free impartial on-site energy efficiency reviews or distance telephone and email support. These services are designed to help businesses prioritise the potential energy and resource efficiency measures, and provide support to encourage their implementation.

As part of our support, we are able to signpost to suitable grant funds, review energy tariffs to ensure they are competitive, help identify potential suppliers, draft environmental policies and estimate savings for planned projects.

Groundwork Suffolk also undertakes a broad range of work with local communities and partners on individual projects and longer term programmes of activity in 6 core sectors; employment and skills; education; young people; communities; business and land improvement. The environment is the inspiration for all of our work.
