An innovative scheme has leveraged nearly £2m into helping train employees in Suffolk and Norfolk and made nearly three thousand training grants. Launched two years ago, as part of the Greater Ipswich City Deal and delivered by Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, the Employer Training Incentive Pilot (ETIP) has been so successful that regretfully the fund has now been fully allocated and no new applications can be considered.
Suffolk companies are being urged to hear at first-hand how they could benefit from EDF Energy’s plans for a new power station at Sizewell at a free event jointly hosted with Suffolk Chamber of Commerce.
As your Police and Crime Commissioner it’s my job to ensure you as a Suffolk taxpayer gets the very best value for money for policing in the county. At the moment I don’t believe we get a reasonable share of funding so I am launching this campaign to get public support to make a case to Government for a fairer settlement.
