Growing team for Fiscale R & D Tax Advisors

Haverhill based Research and Development (R & D) Tax Credit specialist Fiscale has recruited another senior member of staff as they gear up for continued growth. The company has had success in their first year of trading, smashing initial sales forecasts and doubling their team within just eight months.

With an increasing portfolio of local clients to assist with R & D Tax Credit claims Fiscale needed to expand their team yet again. Kate Greenhough, an experienced tax consultant, has been appointed as R & D Tax Manager to head up a second team of R & D Tax Credit advisors. Kate has worked for over 14 years for accountancy practices in Loughton and Hertford and is highly qualified with Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and Chartered Tax Advisor CTA qualifications.

Kate, who lives in Saffron Walden, will be working with recently recruited Claims Administrator Kevin Wang. Kate’s role will include managing the technical aspects of the R & D Tax Credit claim process and ensuring that clients are kept fully informed of progress with their case.

Kate explains, “I am really excited to be joining such a dynamic firm and specialising in this niche area of tax consultancy. It gives me an opportunity to use my tax expertise in a positive way.  R & D Tax Credits are such a win, win for everyone concerned.  The sums of money that Fiscale are helping their clients to reclaim are significant.  Receiving a refund from HMRC certainly has a positive impact for the companies we work alongside. For them it is a pretty painless process and one that has no risk. All that is required is a few hours of their time. I am hoping to retain Fiscale’s 100% claim success rate!”

The financial benefit to companies of R & D Tax Credit claims can be considerable as the scheme takes into account the investment made by the business in R & D.

“The problem is that many clients don’t believe they have a valid claim – and that is where we come in”, adds Kate.

Many types of organisations can be eligible for R & D Tax Credits, not only those with the stereotypical scientists in white coats working in laboratories. Software development, engineering and manufacturing are just a few of the sectors from which the Fiscale client base is drawn. Such clients have benefitted to the tune of £1.7 million of capital tax gains in the last 12 months.
