Suffolk Chamber of Commerce Announces Change in Presidency

Suffolk Chamber of Commerce today announces that Nick Evans will be stepping down as President at the beginning of October, following his appointment to a new role based in Hampshire. Nick has been an active member of the Chamber for many years, contributing greatly to its work in supporting local businesses and fostering connections across the community.

Reflecting on his time with the Chamber, Nick Evans said

"As some of you know, Friday 26th September will be my last day at Treatt. With my new role based in Hampshire, I’ll be stepping down from the Chamber board. I want to sincerely thank you all for your incredible friendship and support over the past eight years. It has been a privilege and a lot of fun working with such a dedicated and inspiring group. I wish you all continued success in everything you do."

Catherine Johnson, Partner at Birketts and a former Chamber President, will step back into the role for the remainder of Nicks term. Catherine has previously led the Chamber and brings extensive experience in business leadership, governance, and supporting local businesses. Her knowledge of the Chamber’s initiatives and priorities makes her well placed to continue the work started by Nick and guide the chamber through the next chapter.

Commenting on her appointment, Catherine Johnson said

"I am very proud to step into Nick’s place. He has done an amazing job and will be greatly missed. I am sad to see him go and wish him every success in his new role. Having previously served as Chamber President, I am familiar with the opportunities and challenges facing our members and look forward to supporting businesses across Suffolk as they grow and succeed."

The Chamber thanks Nick for his dedication and welcomes Catherine’s leadership as it continues to support the local business community.
