The strategic group of headteachers and education partners behind Suffolk’s first ever International Festival of Learning would like to invite you to an evening of light refreshments and to hear how this festival is shaping educational thinking, and connecting business with the sector.

The evening will be hosted by Nikos Savvas, Principal at West Suffolk College and Madeleine Vigar, Executive Director of partner organisation, the Suffolk Association of Secondary Headteachers.

RELEVANCE TO BUSINESS

During the evening you will be introduced to the opportunities to connect business with education, and bring you insight into how the festival aims to focus on the region's education and training needs.

THE FESTIVAL MOVEMENT - EDUCATION BEYOND BORDERS

With a global theme of 'Education Beyond Borders', the festival on 16 April 2018 will break down into four key areas:

1) Empowering Communities** - diversity, cohesion, competition and harmony
2) Future-proof workforce** - a needs driven education system
3) Curriculum Leadership** - skills for a prosperous and globalised future
4) Creating the Environment** - an optimal place for learning to thrive

The festival is more than a one-off conference. The vision is to grow the movement and to place Suffolk at the heart of the Eastern Region education and business connectivity. Already drawing some of the most reputable speakers in the education and business sphere locally, nationally and globally the festival is the only one of its kind in the UK and set to place Suffolk at the heart of innovation.
