PKF kicks off the budget with a seventies theme
Experts from PKF East Anglia have picked a Seventies football theme for their Budget Day reception where they will spell out what the Chancellor's announcements will mean to businesses and individuals.
The Ipswich accountants and business advisers are commemorating Ipswich Town's FA Cup win over Arsenal 30 years ago at an evening reception in the town on Budget day.
In his pre-budget report the Chancellor announced significant changes to Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, non-domiciles tax and income on family businesses.
Peter Harrup, tax partner at PKF in Ipswich, said: "We always like to lighten up the proceedings by dressing up to a theme so there could be some staff dressed in kipper ties, platforms and tank tops.
"But we have a serious message to put across, too. We already know there are going to be lots of tax changes in the Budget that will have a big impact on individuals and business.
"We hope that our view will give people a better understanding of what those changes will mean to them and how they will be affected."
