PKF keeps clients updated

Accountants and business advisers PKF have published a new edition of its 68-page tax guide to help clients find their way through a raft of new government legislation.'Current Tax Developments' aims to explain the plethora of tax announcements from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and review their impact - especially on how the new regulations affect business.'The last six months have been some of the busiest ever for our clients and for us, thanks to the sheer number of changes to tax legislation,' explains PKF Ipswich partner and corporate tax specialist Peter Harrup. 'The chaotic countdown to the removal of taper relief and the introduction of entrepreneurs' relief are just two instances, but there are many more,' he continues. The PKF guide covers income shifting, corporation tax, VAT, green taxes and capital gains, among many other subjects. 'It is crucial that companies make sure their financial plans take account of these latest changes and are tax efficient,' adds Mr Harrup. 'Tax saving opportunities do still exist and by keeping abreast of changes to legislation, business owners are better placed to take advantage of any opportunities that arise.'
