Down on the Farm with Jimmy!
Eco Services Division of Realise Futures CIC is working with local farmer and TV personality, Jimmy Doherty of Jimmy’s Farm in Wherstead, Suffolk. Eco Services has designed a bespoke red tractor for the play area and are revamping all of the farm’s signage as part of their spring facelift.
Jimmy said of the new play equipment: “We're so chuffed with our new kit. I’ve always wanted my own red tractor on the farm; it’s just a pity I’m too old to play on it! My girls love it, which is enough for me.”
Eco Services outdoor plastic play equipment and furniture is made from recycled plastic which is formed into ‘planks’ which looks much like wood, its UV stabilised, so it never fades, it doesn’t splinter, is impervious to water and never needs maintenance.
As part of Realise Futures, Eco Services specialise in helping adults, both able-bodied and with learning difficulties or physical disabilities enter in to meaningful employment and contribute to the community. The team at the farm say, “It’s not often you come across a company that benefits both the community and the environment.”
Eco Services feature in the new Jimmy’s Farm Magazine and on the Channel 4 website http://scrapbook.channel4.com/experts/jimmydoherty
