"Two business dynamos" join Suffolk Chamber in Haverhill & District board

The leading voice for the business community in Haverhill and the surrounding villages has boosted its board by recruiting two of the area’s leading business people.

Elaine Carr is the owner of Haverhill-based FlipFlop Marketing and has 30 years’ worth of professional marketing experience to offer the Chamber. Founded in 2002, FlipFlop Marketing specialises in helping SMEs to adopt a structured approach to their marketing.

Elaine combines a strong analytical skill set with a process driven and highly disciplined approach. As a result of her extensive experience and through understanding of the operational and financial aspects of running a business, Elaine has a track record of creating feasible, viable marketing campaigns that deliver results.

Lesley Whiting is a director at 1st Stop Recruitment located in Jubilee Walk in the town. Lesley first went into recruitment in 1987, and started her own company 13 years later.

1st Stop Recruitment has a vision to be the best they can ever be, supporting both their clients and candidates and being honest every step of the way. The company offers a bespoke solution according client requirements, and more importantly, they listen, advise and agree a solution with those clients.

Paul Donno, chair of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce in Haverhill & District welcomed Elaine and Lesley’s appointment.

“Suffolk Chamber in Haverhill & District has the bit between its teeth in terms of offering clear benefits to its members and indeed the wider business community.

“As well as hosting at least one great local business networking event each month and offering first-rate, money-saving member benefits, we have shown real leadership and campaigning nous over issues as diverse as getting superfast broadband into our business parks and highlighting the fact that the A1307 is not fit for business or private travel use.”

“With Elaine and Lesley we have been fortunate enough to have recruited to our board two business dynamos, whose skills, experience and knowledge of Haverhill and the villages around will add an extra and very welcome energy and purpose to what we do here and what we offer the business community”.
