Fiscale Celebrate Official Opening of New Offices
Over 50 clients, strategic partners, suppliers and colleagues celebrated the official opening of Fiscale’s new offices at Smithfield House on Rookwood Way, Haverhill on Friday. Matthew Hancock, Minister of State for Digital and Culture and MP for West Suffolk officiated at the event.
Founded in February 2014 by John Mayhew and Stephen Bunting the company specialises in helping clients claim back their investment in research and development from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) under the Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credit scheme. Fiscale has already claimed over £4.1 million in R&D Tax Credit relief for its clients.
Initially operating from a single office unit at the Menta Business and Training Centre in Hollands Road, Fiscale Ltd required additional office space in Menta within their first year of trading. Two years later and the continued success and growing team forced the company to seek larger premises in Haverhill.
Fiscale invested around £25,000 in turning the suite of offices at Smithfield House into a contemporary working environment with the capacity to accommodate further growth and the expansion of the team from 10 employees up to 22.
Stephen Bunting, co-founder and Technical Director of Fiscale welcomed the guests to the opening and spoke about the company’s success to date. Executive Chairman John Mayhew outlined Fiscale’s future growth plans including the setting up of a Technical Hub in the North West of England to service the growing portfolio of clients located outside of East Anglia.
John also took the opportunity to thank Menta for their help and support and the Fiscale team who he explained “combine the highest levels of technical competence and customer service skills to deliver a positive experience for our clients.”
Matthew Hancock MP was then invited to unveil the commemorative plaque to mark the occasion.
Matthew congratulated the team on their success, commenting, “The Fiscale story is definitely one worth celebrating. The opening of Smithfield House by Fiscale is another example of the growing and thriving business environment that exists in Haverhill. Fiscale’s investment not only in their building premises in Haverhill but also in the people of Haverhill, is to be commended. In less than 3 years the company has created employment opportunities locally, particularly for young people through the Apprenticeship Scheme, and has created an extra £4.1 million of revenue for its clients. I wish Fiscale every success with their future plans for the growth and development of their business.”
Guests enjoyed a selection of Fiscale branded cupcakes supplied by local company, Cupcakes by Simone and were served tea by Catering students from Castle Manor Academy.
