Director of Year 11 Appointed

Courtney Senior, from Lowestoft, has spent the last year of his career as a Lead Practitioner of English at Ormiston Denes. Prior to this he was Head of Key stage 4 at another local school.

Mr Senior is passionate about raising teaching standards and improving the quality of learning. He is a committed educator, motivated by a strong desire to see all his students develop the skills and attitude to lead successful lives.

His vision is that every student leaves Ormiston Denes with the qualifications, talents and outlook to support them in their next steps and help them achieve all that they are capable of.

Mr Senior said: “I am thrilled that I have been asked to lead our Year 11 cohort to success. This year will bring many challenges for our Year 11 students, but I am certain that if we work together to support them our students will succeed.”

Ben Driver, Interim Principal at Ormiston Denes, said: “We are delighted to have appointed Mr Senior to the Director of Year 11 role. This is a vital part of ensuring we are doing everything possible to support our students in achieving their best during their final year at Ormiston Denes Academy. Combined with high-quality teaching and learning across the curriculum, and the continued dedication of staff across the academy, we are confident this appointment will have a significant positive impact upon our students' final achievements.”
