Running for charity
Accountants and business advisers PKF East Anglia are cooling their heels after swapping tax for trainers to take part in this year's Run4Fun in Colchester's Castle Park. The PKF team, including tax partner Peter Harrup and senior manager Sue Sorrell, joined other enthusiastic joggers who donned their running gear to raise funds for the Colchester Mayor's Charities - including the Army Benevolent Fund and Essex Air Ambulance. For Peter it was something of a family affair: 'I co-opted my wife and children on to the team, they became honorary PKF members for the occasion,' he says. Their efforts certainly paid off - the PKF team raised around £300 for charity. 'We try to take part in the run every year and we are always well supported by our colleagues at PKF,' he explains. 'It's a great way to do something for a worthwhile cause as well as a great way to get fit.'Photo caption: From left to right: Members of the PKF team limbering up for charity: Daniel Harrup, Tina Harrup, Sophie Harrup, Peter Harrup, PKF tax partner; Sue Sorrell, senior manager with PKF Corporate Recovery.
