Recruitment and Employment Confederation website by netXtra collects another prestigious award
The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has been announced as winner in the MemCom 09 Awards' Website of the Year. This recognition is another in a long line of impressive awards for REC's website - www.rec.uk.com; a site designed, developed and hosted by Long Melford based website designers netXtra.
Having also recently picked up the Website of the Year honour at the Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards, REC's website embodies the rethinking and re-presentation that the Confederation has been undergoing for the last few years, closely focusing on how its members use its services.
The judges commented 'REC's entry met the twin challenges of being impactful and easy to navigate. It seemed to achieve this without appearing to try too hard but at the same time it was clear that a lot of work had gone into the site."
Since netXtra re-developed the site in 2007, it has achieved a 133% increase in visitors. New features were introduced in 2008 that included the automation of services, tracking of member online activity and online account management. As a result, the features have provided a more than threefold return on their investment.
REC's creative media manager Nikki Perry said "Over the last 18 months our website has gone from strength to strength. Its spiralling success has been attributable to the combination of our vision for the future and netXtra's expertise to deliver it using inspired online solutions."
