Midas supplies emergency and backup power to farmers
Midas Productions Limited (Midas), the Suffolk-based power generation provider has today announced the launch of a dedicated agricultural hire division to supply farmers with emergency and backup power.
Midas is recognised as a leading provider of diesel and biodiesel powered generators for sale or hire to customers throughout the UK. The company has established a solid customer base within the festivals and events sector thanks to its considerable fleet of well-maintained, reliable products and highly skilled workforce. However, a substantial increase in requests for emergency and standby power from the UK farming community has led the company to formally introduce an agricultural hire division.
David Noble, Director at Midas Productions commented: “We noticed we were being contacted by farmers across East Anglia on an increasingly regular basis. Calls are usually enquiries about standby generators to supply back up in the event of power failure or the need for temporary power in isolated areas. We know our generators appeal to customers because of their economical operation but also because of their portability which allows them to be easily positioned, and now that can be a remote corner of a muddy field.”
For secluded areas where there is no primary power source or the source is unpredictable or costly, the Midas generator fleet offers a robust power solution from 20 kVa to 200 kVa, for an unlimited period of time. This means a reliable power supply is available for areas such as livestock housing, or tasks including stored produce, drying crops or operating production lines.
