Johanna adds first class expertise to consultancy

Johanna Bayliss-Fuller, assistant building surveyor at Dayle Bayliss Associates LLP, has secured a first class honours degree in Construction Management BSc (Hons) from Colchester Institute.

A course which is traditionally completed by part time students over six years, Johanna completed the degree in just three years, attending the Institute for two days a week and training ‘on the job’ for the remaining three days of the week.

Johanna said of her degree: “The course was really varied and it gave me an insight into the number of different roles within the industry. The course is a brilliant introduction into the construction industry for those wanting to start a rewarding career. I am really pleased to have been awarded a First Class honours degree, it really was hard work! Having completed the course I am now in the process of becoming a member of the CIOB and deciding what masters degree to go on to study.”

Johanna has also undertaken specific training on applications such as AutoCAD, giving her an in-depth understanding of how buildings are constructed and an understanding of different construction types and their interface with the design process.
