Eastern Angles Theatre Company
East Anglian accountancy firm Ensors has been recognised as a Cultural Champion in a special award ceremony held at Hylands House near Chelmsford.
The Cultural Champion scheme was devised by Arts & Business, a national organisation which aims to promote partnerships between commerce and culture. Ensors were nominated by Eastern Angles in recognition of their on-going sponsorship of the theatre company’s popular Christmas show.
At the lunchtime reception held on Friday 26th November and hosted by John Whittingdale MP for Maldon and East Chelmsford, Ensors received special recognition for their support for the Ipswich-based theatre company.
Colin Tweedy, Chief Executive of Arts & Business said: “The arts in this country are enriched by the passionate support of thousands of people who generously give their time, expertise and money to help our cultural organisations survive and hopefully flourish”
“Arts & Business feels it is essential that we acknowledge the work of the individuals and businesses who are playing a vital role supporting the arts at a local level”
Ivan Cutting, Eastern Angles Artistic Director said: “Our partnership with Ensors has gone from strength to strength. Over the years the Christmas run has been extended and capacity has increased. Ensors’ support is invaluable – we really appreciate their support which has helped us bring entertaining and accessible new writing to a wider audience”.
