Cambridge Regional College sponsors business skills event

‘Grow Your Business Through People’, part of Ely Cathedral’s Celebration of Business exhibition, will focus on recruiting and retaining the best staff for business success.

Promoted by Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce’s Learning and Skills Sector, the interactive workshop will help point businesses to the help, advice and training available to them.

The free event on 21 May will also examine the leadership, management and entrepreneurial skills needed to take businesses to the next level, followed by a networking session.

The day will finish with a Celebration Reception attended by two major speakers – the former Archbishop of Canterbury Lord Williams of Oystermouth, Rowan Williams, Master of Magdalene College Cambridge, and Lord Wolfson of Aspley Guise, Simon Wolfson, Chief Executive of Next PLC.

Howard Cordingley, employment advisor at Cambridge Regional College, said the day would be very valuable to local businesses.

“We’re delighted to be of the sponsors of an important event which focuses on the skills of employees and management. As a leading trainer in the workplace, we will also be able to help businesses access training for their staff – and often help them find the funding for it,” he said.
