Cambridge Regional College appoints new head of finance

Cambridge Regional College has appointed a new Deputy Principal to head finance and corporate services.

Bob Pattni, former Chief Operating Officer at Birmingham Metropolitan College - one of the largest further education colleges in the UK – has taken up his post as Director of Finance and Deputy Principal at Cambridge Regional College.

A qualified accountant, he has worked in education for more than 20 years and will help lead and grow the college’s core business of vocational qualifications and apprenticeships as well as its commercial activity.

Bob, 46, said he was looking forward to working at Cambridge Regional College.

“CRC is a fantastic college with great curriculum areas and amazing facilities. It is well on the way to becoming an outstanding college and I am looking forward to working to help it become a Grade 1 institution,” he said.

“I love working in education because it is so innovative, and CRC is a very forward-thinking college. It works closely with employers to enrich the lives of learners to provide an environment that is full of opportunity.”

Principal Anne Constantine said she was very pleased to welcome Bob to the college.

“Bob comes to us from a very large college and with long experience in further education. He will be working with us towards our target of moving up from a good college to an outstanding one, and in aligning our provision ever more closely to the needs of local employers, communities and learners,” she said.
