Approved ecodriving training subsidised in conjunction with the “Energy Savings Trust”

In the last decades, engine technology and performance of cars has improved rapidly, while most drivers have not adapted their driving style. Ecodriving represents a driving culture which suits modern engines and makes best use of advanced vehicle technologies.

Ecodriving offers numerous benefits, including GHG emissions reductions, fuel cost savings, as well as greater safety and comfort. Subsidised training in conjunction with the “Energy Savings Trust” to reduce your fuel consumption, running costs and CO2 emissions.

We use well proven techniques to coach your driver’s anticipation of traffic flow, reducing gear changes and generally planning well ahead to achieve an improved mpg of around 17% without any loss in performance.

As this only takes 50 minutes of each driver’s time it enables us to coach up to 8 of your drivers in one day. So, you can enjoy the rewards for your small investment and reduce your fuel costs by over £300 per driver.

The cost of the training is £50 per driver (£25 paid for by the EST subsidy). Minimum of 6 drivers needed to conduct the course.

Other benefits include:

  • Reduced wear and tear on your vehicles
  • Reduced risk of your employees being involved in a collision
  • Lower insurance premiums
  • Lower level of stress behind the wheel
  • This training will also count towards managing your occupational road risk and will form a good proportion of your “Duty of Care”

We identify drivers with high risk elements to their driving and ensure best practice. Working alongside your current Health and Safety policies to develop a driver handbook. Incorporating a daily vehicle pre-drive check list to ensure your drivers are aware of their responsibilities and providing reassurance should an investigation occur. An H&S audit record in place is the legal requirement for 5+ employees, however we highly recommend it for all businesses, regardless of size due to the legal implications of negligence.
