On Tuesday 12th Jan 2010 Haiti, one of the poorest countries in the world, experienced a massive earthquake recorded as 7.1 on the Richter scale. It has completed devastated the capital Port-Au-Prince and death toll estimates are between 100,000 and 200,000 and more than 300,000 people are left homeless with one in 10 homes in the city destroyed.
