Maggi Hambling CBE donates painting to support special educational needs children from across her home county of Suffolk

One of Britain's greatest living and controversial artists, Maggi Hambling CBE, has given the special gift of a painting to GeeWizz, Suffolk-based children’s charity, which is being raffled online until Saturday 17th July 2021. The oil on canvas painting, Sunrise, was painted by Hambling in 2020, and measures 10 x 12 inches, with framed dimensions 14 ¼ x 16 inches.

Suffolk Kickstart gateway recruits its own Kickstarter
Suffolk Kickstart gateway recruits its own Kickstarter

Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, part of the Suffolk Gateway Partnership – the county’s premier Kickstart organisation - has joined hundreds of local organisations in hiring its own Kickstarter.

Launched last summer, Kickstart is a £2 billion fund set up by the Government to create hundreds of thousands of high quality six-month work placements. It is aimed at those aged 16 to 24 who are on Universal Credit and are deemed to be at risk of long term unemployment.
