€10,000 Inaugural Scholarships available for the Maastricht-Suffolk Executive MBA
The University of Suffolk is delighted to announce that scholarships of up to €10,000 are available for the Maastricht-Suffolk Executive MBA for students starting in Spring 2017. Students on the Maastricht Suffolk Executive MBA are benefiting from our innovative collaboration between the Maastricht School of Management (MSM) and Suffolk Business School (SBS) which brings together the experience of one of the world’s oldest business schools with the newest University in the UK. The Executive MBA is delivered across three international centres: in addition to Ipswich and Maastricht, you will also be given the option to work on a live consultancy project in Boston. This gives the programme a truly international flavour and provides students with an impressive basis for top level strategic planning. Beyond this, the MSM partnership extends to twenty different countries around the world and upon graduation the student becomes part of this active and global alumni network. All our graduates are close to their market, wherever in the world that market may be.
Teaching on the Maastricht-Suffolk Executive MBA takes place in four week blocks per year over a 24 month period. While many MBA programmes are fixated on bottom line finances, we take a different approach. We actively encourage our students to engage with research beyond business studies. Our MBA programme draws on social psychology, macroeconomics, geopolitics, organizational anthropology, and systems theory. This equips our graduates with a much keener understanding of the complexities associated with business. There are important – but frequently overlooked - subtleties to the relationship between brand, price and buyer behaviour, for example. Students on our programme explore these complexities and dilemmas from economic, psychological and cultural perspectives. More generally, our multidisciplinary approach enables our students to recognize the numerous challenges, roles and responsibilities of the organization in the global economy.
From day one students encounter ideas and challenges that they will be putting into practice at work from what they are learning in the classroom. We also work collaboratively with leading firms in all three regions. This means students will be working on consultancy projects throughout the programme. These firms also host some of our classes and facilitate roundtable discussions on key issues. Finally, unlike many larger institutions, our class sizes are capped to ensure the very best tuition. This also enables students to build a key business network through their fellow students.
