Energy Readiness Programme expands to support Suffolk businesses
Suffolk businesses operating across the energy sector will benefit from expanded training routes and apprenticeship support as the Energy Readiness Programme enters its second phase. The programme is designed to help employers build the skilled workforce they need to meet growing demand linked to major projects such as Sizewell C, renewable energy investment, and emerging clean‑energy technologies.
The expanded programme will provide employers with access to new training options, enhanced apprenticeship support and bursaries to help reduce the cost barriers to upskilling and recruitment. Suffolk Chamber of Commerce is supporting the programme as a delivery partner, working with partners to help ensure businesses across the county are aware of the opportunities available and can access the support needed to grow, recruit and develop their workforce.
The announcement follows the launch of phase two of the Energy Readiness Programme by Suffolk County Council, Suffolk Economy and West Suffolk College, working alongside regional partners including the Chamber.
