Chamber Celebrates National Recognition in Prestigious UK Chamber Awards for C140 Project
Suffolk Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce its recognition as one of the leading Chambers in the UK, having been shortlisted in the prestigious British Chambers of Commerce National Awards. Competing alongside West and North Yorkshire, Northern Ireland, Wirral, and Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chambers, Suffolk proudly stood as a finalist, showcasing excellence in business support, member engagement, and innovative projects with its groundbreaking C140 project.
The C140 project, launched to celebrate Suffolk Chamber’s 140th anniversary, reflects the Chamber’s legacy of driving local business success. Over the past year, the Suffolk Chamber team has collaborated extensively with members, partners, and local organisations to deliver a series of impactful initiatives, events, and resources under the C140 banner. These efforts aim to enhance business growth, foster community engagement, and ensure a sustainable future for Suffolk’s economic landscape.
John Dugmore, Chief Executive of Suffolk Chamber, commented, "The C140 project is more than just a celebration of our history; it's a renewed commitment to supporting Suffolk’s businesses and communities for the next 140 years and beyond. We congratulate our colleagues in Northern Ireland who won this year’s award and we are incredibly proud of the recognition that the C140 project has brought to our region.”
This national recognition highlights a remarkable year for Suffolk Chamber, with C140 initiatives such as the Suffolk Chamber Innovation Skills Hub, business community-focused events, and new member-driven programs designed to tackle the evolving needs of the local business community. The C140 project underscores the Chamber’s role as a dynamic force for growth, resilience, and partnership.
"Our C140 project has been a truly collaborative effort, and being shortlisted at this level speaks volumes about the strength and ambition of Suffolk’s business community. We remain focused on fostering connections, sharing knowledge, and empowering our members to navigate both opportunities and challenges.”
The Suffolk Chamber of Commerce congratulates all finalists and winners and looks forward to continuing the legacy of the C140 project, enhancing its support for Suffolk’s businesses across all sectors for many years to come.
