Chamber CBAM Services

The European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) introduces important reporting requirements for UK exporters supplying carbon‑intensive goods into the EU, with verified emissions data now essential for maintaining smooth trade flows. EU importers must replace estimated figures with accurate, supplier‑verified carbon data, meaning UK businesses need robust systems in place to measure and report both direct and indirect emissions.

Looking ahead, full CBAM charges will apply from 2026, and the UK is expected to introduce its own CBAM regime by 2027. Suffolk Chamber is offering practical, hands‑on support including tailored CBAM assessments, emissions‑reporting solutions for businesses who fall under the CBAM scope.

We encourage any exporters who trade with EU customers or who want to future‑proof their operations to get in touch with our team for guidance and support: [email protected]
