Business Adviser

About the Role:

Suffolk Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Supply Chain Business Adviser to support local businesses in the nuclear sector. You will navigate supply chain opportunities while contributing to Suffolk’s economic development in this full-time, fixed-term 1-year contract (with opportunities for extension). Flexible working options, including occasional remote work, are available.

Suffolk Chamber is a leading business organisation, championing local business priorities including devolution, infrastructure, skills, climate adaptation, and sustainable economic growth. This role forms part of our Supply Chain Engagement team for the Sizewell C project. We are looking for a dynamic and versatile adviser to join this exciting programme.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for businesses and Sizewell C regarding supply chain opportunities.

  • Offer guidance and identify solutions to facilitate business engagement.

  • Contribute to strategy development and implementation to boost local business participation.

  • Assess business needs through one-on-one meetings and events, diagnosing barriers and creating actionable improvement plans.

  • Deliver business improvement initiatives to help suppliers bid successfully for Sizewell C contracts.

  • Maintain productive relationships with contractors and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and tailored support.


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in business development, advice, and engagement, with measurable results.

  • Knowledge of supply chain and procurement, supporting SMEs and large-scale infrastructure projects.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, confident engaging diverse business audiences.

  • Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with analytical and problem-solving ability.

  • Results-driven, adaptable, and resilient professional committed to making a lasting impact in the Suffolk business community.
