Welcome to Suffolk Chamber of Commerce in Newmarket & District, part of the five areas that make up the Suffolk Chamber family.

As a membership organisation, Suffolk Chamber of Commerce in Newmarket & District is the ‘voice of business’ across Newmarket, Mildenhall, Brandon and Lakenheath representing and promoting the interests of around 100 businesses. We provide an independent, respected and powerful platform for the views and concerns of our members at local, regional, national and international levels.

We are lobbying for:

  • a mixed-use redevelopment of RAF Mildenhall
  • upgrading the east-west A14 through Suffolk
  • improving strategic routes like the A11 at Mildenhall and the A142 feeder route into Newmarket from Ely and Soham
  • reasonably-priced accommodation for local SMEs and start-ups
  • delivery of superfast broadband and comprehensive cellular mobile coverage

We also run a wide range of networking events including networking breakfasts, held in some of the most unique and historical venues in and around our area. There are also training and briefing events led by high-level local and national business speakers. These events are a great opportunity to network and raise your personal profile and that of your business with a wide range of local professionals. Members also have access to all the events staged across the county by Suffolk Chamber of Commerce itself.

Suffolk Chamber in Newmarket & District continues to press the Government to drive forward economic development, including the redevelopment of RAF Mildenhall, the upgrading of strategic roads such as the A14 and delivering superfast broadband and comprehensive mobile technology coverage, so that all these networks facilitate the movement of people and goods not inhibit them.
