Ipswich Housing Action Group (IHAG)
Ipswich Housing Action Group is a Registered Charity that was set up in 1976 to provide housing and other services for single homeless people in Ipswich – today we provide a range of services to over 3,000 people a year across Suffolk.
We fight for the homeless and against the causes of homelessness.
Seven days a week people in desperate need of support walk through our doors and receive the help they need. Warmth food security and belonging are the basic human needs that all other aspects of life are built upon and every day we help people achieve these goals.
We provide supported housing for single people without a home, a daily walk in support centre offering help from the simplest kind hello from one of our team to comprehensive advice covering benefits and signposting to other organisations that can help. We are also Ipswich’s largest provider of money advice helping people with debt keep a roof over their heads.
We are however a charity and can only continue to do these things, and more, with the generous support of the public and local businesses.
