Suffolk Chamber Business Networking Lunch with Ian White
Join us for our Suffolk Chamber Business Networking Lunch with guest speaker Ian White, Managing Director of Beckett Investment Group.
Ian will be speaking about his career journey including being on the Suffolk 100 list; winning director of the year at the EADT awards 2017 and the lessons he has learnt along the way. As someone who is passionate about employee engagement and mental wellbeing, he will be giving some practical examples on how he strives to make Becketts an employer of choice.
Ian is a Chartered Accountant and Managing Director of Beckett Investment Management Group. He has worked in a variety of sectors, including healthcare, utilities and distribution, and has been MD at Becketts for the past five years. During his career, Ian has focussed on growing fast moving entrepreneurial organisations via acquisitions and building best-in-class teams.
The strategy at Becketts has been to build a team based on becoming an employer of choice. He has embedded the concept of Employer Engagement into every aspect of the business and this has been a primary driver in delivering strong growth over the few years. This has resulted in Becketts being recognised for many regional awards, and Ian being awarded Director of The Year for Corporate and Social Responsibility at the Institute of Directors East Awards.
Ian is also Chair of Suffolk Mind and passionately believes in the Suffolk Mind objective of making Suffolk the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health.
