Making Tax Digital - A brief history
As of 1st April 2019, VAT registered business with a turnover in excess of the VAT threshold of £85,000 a year will be required to keep business accounting records in an electronic format. HMRC will request businesses submit their VAT returns electronically using connected software.
For many businesses this is a big change to how they currently process their accounting records and this event aims to address any queries you might have regarding the preparation for Making Tax Digital.
What will we discuss?
Making Tax Digital (MTD) is a term many business owners have heard, but many remain unsure of the implications it may have on their business and the way it processes its accounting records. This event aims to explain the key features of MTD and what actions, if any, you need to take in order to ensure you are compliant. Acting now will ensure everything is in place, tried and tested all in good time before 1st April 2019.
Presenting at the event will be Associate, Richard Alecock providing insights into both MTD and Cloud Accounting from his array of knowledge across various business sectors and sizes.
We will also be introducing the various accounting software options available to you, with a demonstration of some of the key features, benefits and reporting you can draw from the software.
