Suffolk Business Women

Business women networking

Suffolk Business Women is a key part of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce. It exists to facilitate the contributions of women in business and wider public life to the economic and social prosperity of the county, to improve business networking opportunities, inspire women to reach their full potential and to encourage gender equality in all areas of Suffolk business.

Over 1500 people are members of Suffolk Business Women, with many taking advantage of the specific networking events it hosts, with some including leading speakers from within the county and further afield.

We are committed to boosting the economic success of our county and to represent the interests and insights of both our members and the wider female business community across the public and private commercial areas.

Our manifesto focuses on one of the three key themes identified in the broader Suffolk Chamber manifesto where we think we can make the biggest impact: giving businesses the tools to do the job.

Our role is to support and challenge the business community and our public sector partners to improve their competitiveness and help them thrive through better use of everyone’s skills and talents.

Giving business the tools to do the job:

  • Develop, highlight and nurture a talent pipeline in Suffolk that ensures a wider choice of skilled business women qualified to be considered for recruitment, promotion, and to represent business on Boards and in vocational positions

  • Seek out and raise awareness of female entrepreneurs and women in business, providing a platform through the Chamber to showcase the talent and potential of all women in Suffolk

  • Offer a wide range of events, engagement and mentoring opportunities that celebrate and promote female talent, inspiration and entrepreneurialism within our county
