Suffolk Chamber Launches International Trade Training Courses for 2024

Suffolk Chamber is proud to announce the unveiling of its innovative series of International Trade Training courses for 2024, designed to meet the evolving demands of businesses navigating the complexities of the global marketplace.

As the world adapts to the swift changes in the trade landscape, being well-informed and well-prepared is paramount. Our newly launched training courses provide a comprehensive understanding of the nuances of international trade, all of which are accredited by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), guaranteeing participants top-tier education and insights.

A critical component of our new training series is the introduction of Customs Declaration Service (CDS) course, essential for all international trade businesses preparing for the impending transition from CHIEF. The last day for export declarations on CHIEF is set for March 30, 2024. We are excited to announce the launch of our CDS training courses to ensure businesses are well-prepared for this crucial shift.

The flagship CDS for Beginners course, scheduled for Wednesday, January 17, 2024, will delve into the differences between CHIEF and CDS, elucidate roles and responsibilities, and provide a comprehensive understanding of the essential information submission process.

This one-day course is meticulously crafted to equip attendees with essential knowledge, covering topics such as introduction to trade, business responsibilities, export and import processes, valuation, classification, customs procedures, and reliefs.
