We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all Suffolk Chamber of Commerce members who participated in our recent 2023 Member Survey. Your input has provided valuable insights, and we are excited to share the key findings with you.

The survey revealed the top three reasons why people join Suffolk Chamber:

  • to attend events, build relationships with other local businesses, and generate new enquiries
  • to raise their company profile within the local business community
  • to stay informed about business news, policies, and how they impact their business.

These responses reflect the Chamber's commitment to providing networking opportunities, promoting members' businesses, and keeping them updated on crucial information.

Additionally, members shared the top three benefits they have experienced since joining Suffolk Chamber. These include;

  • making new business contacts
  • establishing connections through meetings or events
  • feeling part of a larger business network.

These positive experiences demonstrate the Chamber's effectiveness in facilitating meaningful connections and fostering a strong business community.

We are delighted to announce that over 94% of respondents would recommend Suffolk Chamber to a business contact or colleague. This overwhelming recommendation reflects the satisfaction and trust members have in our organisation.

Furthermore, the survey shed light on the top three lobbying initiatives identified by our members as having the most positive impact on their businesses. These include;

  • advocating for the implementation of 5G across the county
  • lobbying political parties to commit to a thorough review of business rates and alternatives in their 2024 manifestos
  • continuing with improvements to the A12/A14 at Copdock Interchange.

Rest assured that these priorities will guide our advocacy efforts as we work to create a conducive business environment for our members.

Lastly, the survey identified the number one priority for Suffolk Chamber members: economy and business resilience. We understand the significance of this, particularly in the current economic climate, and we will continue to prioritise initiatives that promote a thriving and resilient Suffolk business community.
