Energywise

Energywise is run by Suffolk Chamber, which is designed to run a series of events to provide local businesses with the opportunity to come together to share best practices and to hear from specialists on how they can reduce carbon emissions and fuel costs.

Energywise is part of the European ANSWER (A North Sea Way to Energy-Efficient Regions) project - www.answerproject.eu

The ANSWER project, which started in September 2008, has EU funding of €1.8 million (£1.4 million) through the Interreg Programme.   Suffolk County Council is the lead partner on this innovative project, which aims to develop communities across the North Sea Region with increased awareness of environmental issues and reduced carbon emissions.

Whatever your questions, Energywise will put you in the picture with information on all topics related to energy management and reduction through a programme of events.

Our events are designed to look at how businesses can maximise their use of utilities, help develop better working practices around such things as waste minimisation and greening the supply chain, as well as working with them to cut their carbon emissions, all with the aim of helping them become more competitive.

Details of Energywise events can be found in the networking and events section of this website.

If there are any topics you would like us to cover or like more information on, please contact Amanda Ankin on amanda@suffolkchamber.co.uk or 01473 694812.

There are also a variety of services open to help businesses, from those who are only just thinking about how they can reduce their energy consumption, to the more experienced businesses who are well on their way to creating a more sustainable future.
