Thanks to a brief respite from snow and ice members did not have to skate out to the Golf Club for the annual Christmas festive lunch.

Despite four casualties felled by the flu almost 30 people turned up to enjoy an excellent meal, some chat (aka networking) and a respite from Peter’s Bee (She was snowbound at Heathrow but already has plans for the new year!)

Plainly the shift back to the golf club for the summer has unleashed something. We had a near-record 35 breakfasters, a straw poll, a liberal sprinkling of thank-yous, banter back and forth across the room, much hilarity and one person, who is far from vertically challenged, delivering his one minute standing on a chair!
