Britain's export of goods to India - a country where we should have unparalleled access, drawing on our historic links and common language - is less than Belgium's and half that of Germany.  India is now one of the fastest growing economies in the world - over 8% in 2010.  It is full of opportunities for businesses large and small.  An EU-India Free Trade Agreement is likely to be signed this year and British businesses need to be in a position to take advantage of the even wider commercial possibilities that it will open up.
