Policy

As an Accredited Chamber, Suffolk Chamber forms part of the British Chambers of Commerce network, ensuring we have the ability and the resources to lobby and represent our business community at the highest level; influencing Government decision-makers and shaping policy to create the best environment for business.

We will focus on what we believe are the five pillars supporting real and lasting economic growth:

  • The economic development environment
  • Cutting unnecessary red tape
  • Creating a workforce with the skills to meet future demands
  • Providing a modern day infrastructure
  • Providing more energy from more sources

Suffolk needs a strong and robust economy bringing prosperity across the county. Our members must be at the heart of that growth which will create jobs and wealth.

A successful economy in which businesses in Suffolk can thrive and grow requires better, but less regulation.

The potential of our young people and the hard work, talent and expertise of our workforce are our greatest economic resource.

A modern and thriving economy in Suffolk needs a world class infrastructure to support our plans for growth.

Suffolk is the home of the Energy Coast and a national centre for progressive and sustainable energy provision.
