Traffic commissioner makes pit-stop to co-host seminar with Birketts LLP

Birketts LLP is delighted to welcome the Traffic Commissioner and VOSA as two of the key speakers at their upcoming seminar “VOSA stops...the Traffic Commissioner calls!” which takes place on Tuesday 22 June at Trinity Park, Ipswich. 

Richard Turfitt, who has been Traffic Commissioner for the Eastern Traffic Area since 2008, has extensive experience of both regulatory regimes and criminal offences.  In 2001, he set up what became the HSE’s Litigation and Enforcement Advisory Team.  Richard has also helped to found the Health and Safety Lawyers’ Association, as well as serving as a Justice of the Peace. 

Richard will be joined by William Harrison (Area Manager) and Derrick Howlett (Senior Traffic Examiner) from VOSA who will be offering delegates invaluable information on what VOSA looks out for.

Other speakers at the seminar include Peter Butler, the Local Area Manager for RHA, who will be discussing the importance of audits, and Richard Eaton, Partner at Birketts LLP, who will be advising delegates on how to stay on the right side of the law!
