The Sound of Success - Town 102
27 Oct 2011
The latest (RAJAR) audience figures are out and once again Town 102 has seen more listeners choosing the Ipswich radio station.
58,800 adults tune into Town each week, up 4% on the previous quarter and up a whopping 72% from this time last year.
Time spent listening has also grown by 85% over the past twelve months, giving all at the station some rather big smiles as they celebrate the best audience figures ever achieved at Town 102.
Town 102’s Programme Manager Paul Morris puts the increases down to the stations commitment to broadcasting local programmes:
“Many don’t know that Town 102 is now the only commercial station transmitting its programmes from studios in Ipswich. This latest increase (I believe) shows audiences really do enjoy listening to a local radio station that truly connects with the area it serves, rather than relaying programmes down the line from outside Suffolk."
“We’ve got big personality presenters like Nick Pandolfi, Dave James and the superb Country Show with Brian Mann. Our team eat and breathe Ipswich (and all live locally too), so you can really hear the difference when you tune in.”
Town 102 broadcasts from studios in Great Blakenham 24 hours a day on 102.0FM and online at www.town102.com
