The Ipswich office of Chamber member MLM Consulting Engineers, has been appointed CDM coordinator on the three year development project.  This important Health & Safety role is to oversee the Construction Design and Management Regulations for the new facility. The intention is to ensure safety is considered first and foremost in construction and operation of the new facility.

Cliff Matthews, EfW Regional Manager at SITA UK, said: “We are delighted to announce this contract with MLM.  They will have a key role in the development of the energy-from-waste facility and we are pleased that a local company is on board.  As the development progresses there will be many other opportunities for local companies to get involved.”

Robert Mawson, Operations Director at MLM, said:"MLM's appointment underlines our dedication to positioning the MLM brand in this exciting and important sector, highlighting the firm’s commitment to sustainability."

Cliff Matthews added: “We held an open day for potential suppliers in Stowmarket earlier this year and there was a great deal of enthusiasm for the project.  MLM attended the open day and subsequently demonstrated good standards of professional and technical competence.
