netXtra raises the bar with launch of British Institute of Innkeeping website

27 May 2010
Suffolk based Website design and development company netXtra have again consolidated their reputation for delivering market-leading membership websites with another prestigious launch for the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII).
The website - www.bii.org - offers a fresh new look for BII and is a significant step forward from their old site; delivering clearer and more intuitive communications to members, as well as being an effective channel for promoting the organisation to new members. Furthermore, BII administrators can now fully manage the content of their website using netXtra’s highly intuitive and easy-to-use Content Management System (CMS); thus relinquishing their dependency on third-party agencies to make regular updates.
Offering a wealth of licensed retail industry advice and information for existing and potential members, the new website is divided into five key areas; the corporate information site, the BII membership login site, BIIAB - BII’s awarding body, BII Scotland and BII’s training initiative, CentreZone. Presenting the site in this way allows visitors to easily navigate between pages and areas and find the information they need fast.
With integration to Protech CRM, and the launch of the new CentreZone training area, the website enables approved BII centres to manage a range of day-to-day administrative activities easily, efficiently and securely online. It also allows centres to access examination results and other useful information to assist when delivering BIIAB qualifications.
Jonathan Stemp, BII’s Director of ICT, said “It was clear when we started the project that we needed a website that not only appealed to our members and visitors, but also allowed them to get what they needed easily and without fuss. What netXtra have delivered does this and more - something that’s already borne out from our members’ feedback about the site, as well as our website statistics.”
Since its launch, netXtra has also introduced further functionality to further increase member participation, including a new blog and member forum; both of which are proving invaluable engagement and retention tools.
