Chilford Hall raises over £1200 for Help for Heroes Charity

Chilford Hall Vineyard and Conference Centre in Linton has raised a total of £1212.65 for national charity Help for Heroes over the festive season.
Every year Chilford Hall hosts a New Year Celebration evening and several themed Christmas parties, which are attended by several hundred local people, groups and businesses from around the region during December and January. Guests are given the opportunity to make voluntary donations to charity on the night.
After hearing about the vital work Help for Heroes undertakes to support wounded troops and their families, the staff gathered their collecting buckets to help raise as much as possible.
Glen Mejias, General Manager and Director says, “We are proud to have raised this money for such an important cause and would like to thank all our guests who came to our festive parties and generously supported our charity collection this year.”
Help for Heroes, founded in October 2007, has already raised £40 million to help wounded servicemen and women across the UK.
The second “Help for Heroes Colossal Cake Sale” is being organised for Saturday 13th March in the Grafton Centre and Grand Arcade in Cambridge, where members of the public can buy a selection of locally baked home made cakes, with all proceeds going to Help for Heroes.
