NEC SV8100 Case Study - Zeta PDM - www.zeta-pdm.com

Zeta PDM supply a wide range of consultancy and customized separation equipment to the oil, gas and petrochemical industries worldwide, customer service and reliability are cornerstones of this sector.Call Portal Limited has supplied a multisite solution based on the NEC SV8100 communications platform.Jeff Palmer from Call Portal explains: Zeta PDM approached us to try and enhance the way that they dealt with both their customers and their international office communication, they also required an element of onsite mobility.

Call Portal have designed, supplied and implemented two NEC SV8100 systems networked via NEC SV8100 Netlink technology; we have also supplied NEC IP DECT technology on both sites.

Basically a caller can contact the UK office and can be seamlessly 'internally' transferred to a user in Holland, there is no charge for this transfer and both sites have full use of all of the system features as if both users were sitting next to each other, this functionality also extends to the cordless IP DECT handsets on each site and the centralized unified messaging system.NEC SV8100 Netlink also provides a great of resilience, both systems constantly communicate via IP to ensure that they have consistent datasets, if a system fails or the link IP link between the systems is disconnected then the system have been programmed to work either independently or one platform taking the load of both.

Another part of the winning solition is Call Portals Line Rental & Call Charges package and in the event of flood, fire or power fail Call Portals Disaster Recovery solution.
