Birketts LLP launches new identity and new website

04 Oct 2011

East Anglian law firm Birketts has this week launched a new corporate identity together with a new website. These are important changes as Birketts seeks to build on its reputation for quality and innovation.

The regional firm, which has offices in Ipswich, Norwich, Cambridge and Chelmsford, commissioned Sudbury based design studio O32 to deliver a radical new look to position Birketts as a modern, forward thinking law firm able to meet future competitive challenges.

Birketts’ CEO, Alistair Lang said: “We needed to revamp both our public face and our website as part of our ongoing business development. Corporate identities as well as websites can become stale so we decided it was time to bring both firmly up to date.’’

He went on to stress that whilst Birketts has again recorded some excellent results in the recently published Legal 500 guide, the firm cannot stand still and needs to build on its reputation for excellent service delivery.

James Ramnought from O32 echoed the thoughts of Birketts’ CEO, Alistair Lang and commented: ‘’The challenge for us was to design a new identity which, whilst being new and fresh, retained elements of Birketts’ long and successful heritage.’’

With the internet now growing ever more important as a source of legal information, Birketts has launched a new website. The site, which was developed by Ipswich based web company itineris, has a raft of new features designed to make navigation as simple as possible.

Janet Rudge, Birketts’ Business Development and Marketing Director, observed that, ‘’Whilst we recognise the importance of all forms of communication, there is no doubting that our website has become, and will continue to be, a major ‘port of call’ for both our clients and non-clients alike.’’ She went on to stress that today’s website launch is just part of an ongoing investment plan in new technology with a phase 2 website programme already being put together.

Matt Davy from itineris, said: “We re-developed the existing Birketts website in line with its new brand to reflect the company's position within the East of England legal services field. As a result, the design reflected the high quality, professional and progressive nature of the firm. It also acted as a point of differentiation from its competitors.”

Matt emphasised that new Birketts site has a wealth of information but from a user perspective is very simple to use.
